Let's clarify that - no beer at the NCAA
TOURNAMENTS. It's served by the hundreds of gallons each Friday & Saturday at the many school arenas spread across this great country of ours. My beer drinking at hockey games is over - the school & the league tend to frown upon the people who are working the games to be sipping a cold one between whistles!
Another peculiar thing you'll notice in the Regionals & Frozen Four - all the signage on the boards is covered up. Only the NCAA Logo and the names of the participating teams are allowed, in strict, uniformed blue & white block-style font. There's no advertising anywhere in the building. Last year we had the Frozen Four here - at the Pepsi Center.... and there was not a Pepsi logo or name to be seen ANYWHERE. i wonder how many kids from these 4 teams will leave to go pro? Denver has 1 guy expected to sign tomorrow and forgo his degree - possibly 2 others as well. It's becoming a real issue, that these NHL teams are allowed to pluck these kids out of school before they graduate.
