Folks,
A driver has already gotten penalized this year for breaking the "rule", the same "rule" Force is being allowed to get away with.
I believe it was Houston that Terry Haddock decided to run his Funny Car because NHRA counted his match races and IHRA races as "test" sessions and he exceeded 4. SO in his own words, "if I wasn't going to get any points in TF, why not run the FC".
So, technically there is a precedence for the rule to be implemented. Now if NHRA changes the rule midstream, (WOW, what a shocker), then Terry should be compensated by the sanctioning body (which won't happen)
NHRA's rule book should, just be called a flexible rulebook that is adjusted as the situations occur.
I like Force, but I hate politics.
