I have ordered parts from Herb before and he will tell you great story's on the phone. I was amazed he answered the phone in the first place.

I was a neighbor of Mr. 4 Speed in Memphis when I was in high school. He allowed me and a friend to tag along to Indy. I'll never forget that experience! Hell of a mechanic and driver.

We used to buy all of our parts from Herb. Many times he would answer the phone,and you always got a story (which is a good thing) Herb also would be honest and tell you what would work and what wouldn't,always very helpful.Herb needs to have a Legends series on him.

Is Herb really 89 years old? (Thats what is listed online, and we know thats never wrong lol)

I think Herb is 74.

I don't think Herb is 89. That would have made him about 36 when we went to Indy. Remember he was a printing press operator - interesting coincidence as I later owned a print shop for 25 years.

Herb must be about 74 like was posted above. When I saw him in the old days he was my age. And I'm almost 74.
