Over/under 2 races until he's told to "take some time off" by the NHRA. Based on his performance today, i'd say one. Hope he gets it together though.

are you counting the Andy Carter Top Fuel banger as well? That's his stuff too.

I kinda feel bad for the guy actually. He's out there bustin his butt with a bunch of used parts which most likely don't belong out there on the race track. What do you tell the guy?

in a related note... HOW IN THE HECK DID THE CHUTES NOT DEPLOY?

FIRST, the burst panel popped, (which based on recent evidence, all a fuel car has to do is sneeze and the car will deploy the chutes).

SECOND, the new auto-deploy system at 1,400 foot.

I figured Carter was just renting his stuff for the weekend.

it sure dont look good, feel for him to , wonder what all the other teams are thinking of him ?

From what I understand Carter is using his equipment and brought his own crew with him. I don't know what more Terry could have done, he's been working on everything pretty much non-stop since October.

Well if he would learn to lift when it starts to hurt itself. Instead of driving it till it a fireball he be better off.. He causes most of his own grief. If a driver can't feel that car laying over like that He should not be driving.. All that said..You have like him for being out there trying..

Tough call... How long do you drive it knowing all you need is a 4.40 something and it's the last shot to get it?? Cruz drove it to the lights wounded too.

It looked to me like something in the timing went to heck, casue it left real nice, and then the car lurched, put holes out on both sides, and the engine changed pitch all at the same time. That was the beginning of the end.

Might be good for some other crew chiefs to talk with Haddock regarding his tune up and parts selection. A fire can affect the other car he is racing as well. It also puts the lives of the Safety Safari in jeopardy if they have to go to his car that's always on fire.

If he doesn't get this problem under control, NHRA would be justified in refusing to let him race at any national events.

"Dedicated to Safety", remember?

this is where the testing rule really hurts guys. If he wants points he can't go to match races in order to test and make some cash to improve his program

I hope he didn't make another risky decision and bypass hooking up the safety shutoff in the name of qualifying ... if he did, he's done. Did you notice the attention his car got from the Tech. folks after the car was removed from the track? We may not have heard the last of this.
