During the broadcast Sunday it was pointed out that the surface of the track is different from the 330 to 660 ft mark, than from the starting line to 330 ft mark. For the life of me I don't understand why any track operator would want this to happen. I know batches of concrete and asphalt can be different but would assume that whoever was doing the work would try to match the surface finish, if it was good to begin with, with the previous work. Was this repair/repaving done this yaer?

I believe a few years ago the concrete was extended from 330 to 660. So they were done at different times. I don't know how old the first 330 is.
