Good Austin Prock interview on Comp Plus

Did I miss JFR putting out message thanking Jimmy Prock for tuning Robert Hight to multiple wins and championships, for adding to the legacy of JFR? Or did anyone from JFR say anything to Austin after adding wins and championships to JFR? Maybe these types of conversations were held behind closed doors and both sides decided to keep it in-house.
I get what you are saying but apples to oranges really. John didn’t give Jimmy the opportunity of a lifetime. Jimmy was a paid tuner doing his job. Austin was handed the chance of a lifetime, and probably wouldn’t even be driving a funny car right now let alone be a 2 time champ had he not.

I can tell a lot of people don't know how and where he started his motorsports career. Austin and his brother did it all when he won an asphalt midget championship. One very prominent racer and car owner felt bad for them and gave them a corner of his shop to work out of. Dad didn't fund it or help with it. His oval racing was all on him and his brother. They were not spoiled.
And before he was in Midgets he was driving Quater Midgets.
As for that owner/racer it's true it's not everything is Smoke and mirrors. LOL

Man so many here are overthinking all of this. Pretty sure Tasca didn't step out of the seat of his own car and hire a whole new crew to run it, just to have them come in and continue running the 2025 package. What would be the point? I believe the thinking is take a step back to take 2 forward. Or crack some eggs so you can make an omelet, lol. As far as Austin's interviews, maybe they should let AI craft the perfect post run interview. Not too emotional but not stoic. Thank the sponsors just enough but don't make it repetitive. Show competitive spirit, but not too hostile. Confident but not too cocky. Etc., etc.,...
Wasn't implying they should run the 2025 package. Austin said they were having problems before gainsville, maybe 3 steps back? My point was I think they could have quailified the car with last years stuff and worry about this year later. It was just Austin talking when they didn't qualify and frankly he made a fool out of himself and the whole team.

Ford needs to hire a PR person to help Austin put his thoughts on paper. A lot of what he said makes absoluetly no sense to me. Waiting for their "package" to get shipped in. A combination? Clutch discs? cylinder heads? They had months to get something ready, he said everyone was working 15-18 hour days 7 days a week. Well they had a car that would go down the track and qualify. Bob Tasca's 2025 car. I think because of their reputation they were trying to set the world on fire right out of the gate. Listening to too much social media negativity? Were going to show "them" mentality? Jimmy is smart enough to get Bob's car to just qualify in the top 10 for the first few races. Does anyone edit what he says to the media before it's released? Yes, Ford should be listening.
I kept thinking, huh?

I can almost smell a fresh pot of Karma cookin' ... ;)
I have mad respect for Jimmy and have since I first saw him 27+ yrs ago, and I still do - it's what's already been mentioned, I take issue with.

John tried to teach the boy...

Did I mention that Karma is REAL???
