Indy and Pomona's final race both have a tendancy to get teams to "step up to the plate," "bring the A-Game," "Go the extra mile," "run the table," "raise the bar," "give 110%." Did I miss any cliches?

Anyway, it always seems to be tougher to qualify at these two particular events.
