Full Throttle Champs (1 Viewer)

It looks as if Dixon and Force would have still been the 2010 champs without the Countdown. Dixon would have won in walk over #2 Cory Mac (Not Sarge). Force's margin would have been a little bigger than it was after the Countdown, but still over #2 Hagan.

Unfortunately the PS classes would not have ended the same. Edwards and Hines would have been Champs by a pretty wide margin. Edwards being the biggest victim (3rd instead of 1st) of the Countdown and Tonglet being the biggest benefactor (1st instead of 3rd) when comparing points systems.

I like the countdown, it continues to create the drama that the sport needs. However, it comes at a price for some. Some drivers/riders received a higher finishing spot (more $$$) because of the Countdown, others finished lower (less $$$) because of it. Interestingly enough, Tony Pedregon would have been the only driver in any class the was in the Countdown Top 10 not to actually finish in the Top 10 under the old system. He would have been replaced by his brother in the final Top 10 without the Countdown. Cruz would have actually been monetarily reward for the great end to the season that they put together ... but not be.

Cool. Thanks for doing the research on that.

Still excited after the weekend. What a great race!
