FS1 Qualifying Graphics

Is it too difficult to show qualifying positions and/or movement up or down as runs are shown? Probably not, since ESPN did it for years. Also, Dave and Tony called out only the top three in each class with no graphics to show the rest of the field. I am not impressed. Also, Paul Page would have been crucified for stating that six speed bikes shift six times, but I suppose it's OK for Tony because he is "new".

In case you haven't seen the 10,000 other comments about this.....

FS1's foray into NHRA coverage just started. Let them work out the kinks. If at the end of this year, or beginning of next year, there has been no progress, you should then raise your hell. Until then, if it bothers you that much, don't watch FS1 and wait a week to read the results in your ND!

While I'm all for giving them time to work out the kinks this is a fan forum and the appropriate place to point out mistakes and concerns. I think people should look at the broadcast critically and share their concerns and suggestions.

Agreed partially. Why here ?? Can someone here fix it ?? Maybe your complaints / suggestions should be levied somewhere else where they might have more value ... or, as said above, let it go for a while. 3rd freakin' race.

Just a reminder that NHRA produces the broadcast and fox sports just broadcasts what is sent to them. Long and short if your going to complain about the telecast, complain to and about NHRA production. By the way, IMO there is no shortage of items to complain about.

Shoot, I'm just glad the racing hasn't been pre-empted several hours for a prairie dog toss competition, or some such junk.

100% Agree !!!

That was the #1 complaint for years with the ESPN production ... FOX has remedied that ... so people HAVE TO find something they don't like about the broadcast.:rolleyes:

The fact that the show stays on schedule is all I need to say the move to FOX was the best thing for the TV side of the sport.

Now if FOX would only fix their beef with Comcast so that the YES network would come back and I can watch my damn Yankee games !!

+1 drag racing fan, -1 Yankees fan, lol. I'm just busting you. I'm a Red Sox fan but can't get into the Yankees suck chants at Fenway.

Well, it is an NHRA based forum so yes! Also can someone here fix it? Not sure about that, but there are lots of people who do post here that work with NHRA or are a part of the show and at the track and can share comments and observations they hear from fans. Also, who knows how many do not post, but lurk and read the posts and comments? Lastly, even if it did fall on deaf ears to those, I would hope people that work for Fox on the program do a google search for "FS1 NHRA reviews" and read all the fan chatter they can find. Good or bad, here and any other forums. Listening to your viewers is a good way to be successful, something ESPN never cared to typically do. I'm not saying Fox should read everything posted and make immediate changes, nor should they take all negative comments to heart. Some people (including myself) can be pretty opinionated. It happens. But yes. please always share opinions and suggestions.

On a positive, the very opening of the show last night, which went back and forth between Brittney and Leah, was very cool IMO. Lots of room for improvement, but for a Friday night 1 hour recap show, it was good.

FS1 did a good job on today's race. But, the audio guy needs to kill some of the nat sound. Hearing the PA louder than the cars got old real quick. Especially because he talks all the dadgum time. I want to hear the engines not the PA system. Be quiet and let the cars tell the story. Talk after the run.

Actually it is a good place to post them. You would be surprised the amount of eyes that check in here. Now of course the over the top critical or NHRA can do no right types are pointless but honest critiques are noted.
