Force's Rant??

run @ 23:50.....john's comments @ 28:10.....he didn't say much....unless there's another episode?

 
that wasn't a blown gasket. He may have internally said.... oh crap (or something of that nature) when he was on a good run and went a 3.99 and seeing nothing but the back of Jack Beckman's car on that pass

On the Sunday Broadcast Force apologized to the Track reporter for how he acted???
 
I don't see him being childish, he provided everything that Medlen, Prock, Neff and others could possibly need for R&D for years and when he loses his 2 major sponsors Prock & Medlen 2X decide to go to DSR and start putting down some serious numbers, that has to touch a nerve or 2 that's all it was. Hell Force has ran 3.95 a couple times so they're are not far off. I'm sure Neff knows whats going on he just needs to figure the best way to apply it, it won't be long
 
John Force is not being childish. He's a very competitive and passionate person. Determined, and Panicked are two words that come to my mind.

Yes he panicked when he lost his Castrol and Ford sponsorships, and yes he's determined to win with a rookie crew chief.

You see a lot true colors lately, I kind like that.

Force has never run 3.95 nor has anybody else except for Beckman and Cruz (once 3.959)...and right now EVERYBODY in the class is behind
 
Emotion, pressure, rant, general pissiness.....who cares....this is good! Get fired up for god's sake....throw water bottles, kick the car....Drag racing is not mamby pamby land folks! :D

Jeff, you're right, he ran 3.96. Hey, is there any chance of finding some money to keep driving Steve's car? I know he really prefers having you drive it over someone who really doesn't have any experience, hurts parts and can't feel what's going on with the car.
 
Sorry I made a mistake on that but the point I was making most crew chiefs know what he's doing it just applying it to there set up is where he has the edge. Virgil had a good post earlier about autoflow that was very informative in earlier post sorry I don't know how to send it on this dumb phone.
 
I saw John's so called "rant". He did seem angry and frustrated, but mostly at himself. I'm sure he's kicking himself over losing Prock and it has to hurt.
