Ths is just a heads up to all Facebook users. If you get any messages from Roger Gustin, do not open them. This not a joke, Roger knows all about it and is telling people the same thing. Somebody is sending a video message using Roger's name and they want you to download an install to watch the video. Just thought I'd let ya know.

This has been going around for a while. It's actually pretty obvious.

You click on the video link and a popup shows stating you need a Flash update. It's when you click on that it happens. Fairly savvy, and running rampant on Facebook.

Easy to fix in safe mode and run this:

Malwarebytes.org

Everybody should have that anyway..not just for this one.

And Joe, if the Macs continue to gain in popularity, it'll happen. And a Unix based virus will be waay worse than a Windows (DOS).

There are also a couple of other facebook deals running around. A couple of ladies I am friends with had their names attached to private messages they did not sent--same deal--open them and you got problems.

Generally speaking, these rascals require a couple clicks (one click will be the next generation)..it will bring up a screen asking for an update to something or whatevah..that's when you don't want to click.

And this is pretty exclusive to the web..because it demands another click to infect you. So if you're browsing..or visiting a page..don't click on any damn popup!! So there..your lesson for the day. (that's just a nutshell because there are some boogers out there)
