Very interesting. Kurt is the man!! One of the best I've ever had the pleasure interacting with from a racer standpoint. I always enjoyed dealing with him at Norwalk .... (however after he left i did end up with Bader's cell phone/e mail and found him to be very reasonable).

Larry Crisp at Bandimere Speedway in Colorado built the first rotator.

They use the static drag at Cecil County Dragway, But some of the track guys are standing on the belts.

It's been a long 12 weeks since the last event.... at this point we're happy to see ANYTHING going down a drag strip

God Bless Larry Crisp for coming up with this machine. It is so easy now to clean the track and put down rubber and get back to racing. I well remember "grease sweep" and brooms and that was it. Talk about 1 hour clean-ups.....

cliff, i second that. the machines they use today to clean and prep the track are amazing, including the smaller scrubber machines used for oildowns.

Ah, the good old days. NOT! I remember Steve Evans and others making comments like, "...he just destroyed that motor and it looks like a 3-bagger!"

Ah yes, the guy in the back with a push broom and the truck driving 40 MPH at the same time, when they are trying to sweep it up fast. This photo was the long drive down the track at 5 mph.... OK Bob, you pour & I'll sweep. Don't breathe....
