I was pretty impressed by the Safety Safari driver reacting so quickly and moving out of the way of Kalitta's dragster, he couldn't have seen it till it was less than 30 ft away and heading right at him.

After Goren Mineo and Eddie Hill crashed into the Safari truck many,many years ago due to Mineo it was standard procedures to assume all running cars could/would run into a NHRA vehicle and the trucks would always remain running..

When I saw the video I thought from experience Doug K had his hands full to get the 2nd chute out and had a bit of luck things did not turn out worse but was glad to see everyone came out unscathed..
