As far Cruz, the race right before Indy was Brainard, where he raced his brother heads up and lost. I can see why he was pissed.

I know most of you love Force and do not care about DSR. All 4 rounds including Force in the final did not make a full run against Hagan! I never spoke to TJ's Crew Chief but realize he took the right lane which is the lane TJ beat Del from and also with the sun setting it is easier to get a better reaction time not looking into the setting sun. On that run Matt had his worst RT of the race because of the sun. I will not respond to this thread again since most people want to creat turmoil.

Sounds like somebody got their feelings hurt. Your not going to pull any John Force fans to you with that attitude. I only go to the Vegas 2 event and all I can tell you is that the cheering in the reserved section for all the Force race drivers was very loud and with the exception of Ron Capps who gets a lot of approval, not so much for the other DSR funny cars, it was the same way the year before. You are a team owner (wealthy) and you should not have to answer anyone on here about it unless you have a "Guilty Conscience". Just my 2 cents

Matt has his worst RT in the round that counted the most, then TJ smokes the tires, afterwards JF goes 4.04 right after TJ in the same lane as TJ. That is B.S. Don, after that race my brother threw away his Schumacher battery charger, and went out and bought a new Non-Schumacher brand battery charger.
Shoe, My daddy used to tell me "sometimes nothing is a good thing to do and always a good thing to say". While I'm sure it wasn't an original it none the less was and is good advice. Talking a few years ago is what got you in this situation and no matter what you say it isn't going to help now. The only thing that might help is a confession of what truly transpired. Even then I'm not sure it would help and you can't do that thanks to NHRA so read the first sentence again. Thanks for everything you do both good and bad because it helps make drag racing interesting and worth following. If there was racing next weekend it would be less of a topic. Have a great off season.

It's bound to happen when you have owners with 2, 3, and 4 cars. It's their money and their cars. I love NHRA Drag Racing for the spectacular machines and the engineering. I find myself pulling for the one car teams Dunn, Wilk, Diehl ect....

In the beginning...there was Nitromater. A lot of professional racers and team owners would post here quite a bit. Then National Dragster ran an article about Nitromater and suddenly there were hundreds of new people logging in. Then, one by one the professional racers and team owners got their a$$es handed to them by some of the more vocal new "fans" on here. One by one the professional racers decided it was time to go away because it wasn't worth it to interact on a message board any more. Then the Nitromater management decided to require real names instead phoney names so everyone could see who was posting crap, hoping the disrespect toward racers and team owners would dry up, but it didn't.
Fast forward several years later and here we are. Don is the only one left actually communicating once in a while. Whether you believe what he said or not, you have to at least respect him for posting as he is the last man standing who actually cares enough about what this now small shrinking community of fans thinks of him, his drivers and his teams.
Where's Force? Kalitta? BVR? KB Racing? Jeg's? They learned a long time ago it's better to stay away from here.
So, whether you like what he said or not, I suspect this is the last you'll hear from the last man standing. Congrats.

Helps when you start by being your own sponsor- then you don't get end of the year drama when folks have a change of heart...

In the interest of fairness, the time you are talking about was pre-Facebook, pre-Twitter, pre-Instagram, etc. Almost all of the professional drivers and team owners are linked to one of the social media sites, if not all of them. Social Media is quickly becoming the #1 marketing tool of all businesses now, so it would be foolish for teams to completely abandon fan interaction outside of the racetrack. The drivers and teams take plenty of beatings on these other social sites, but have yet to abandon the practice because of it. This place represents such a small percentage of racing fans that it would be pointless to try and communicate here as well as through other outlets. It's basically the same 20-30 people that respond to every thread here, so why waste your time catering to them when you can reach thousands of fans by sending a single tweet?

Nope. Never said that. I was just giving everyone a history lesson since most of you weren't around in the early days. People who were here in the beginning know why none of the professional drivers or owners post here like they used to. And now you know.

Second, shit happens, deal with it.
Third, people often want it to be and can't accepted for what it is.
Thank you Mr. Shumacher for offering insight behind the scene. I have been to the fairplex countless times since birth. The low-lying sun this time of year in the afternoon can be a factor. And with a fast setting sun, shadows are also a factor. A car will run faster in shade than in sunshine. The trade-off us a cooler track.
