Sounds like the difference revolves around weight and gearing and not necessarily available power. In my mind I'm thinking"would 350 extra pounds and taller overall gearing really make that much difference? With 5000 (or whatever) horsepower?" I'll be in Ennis in 6 weeks so hopefully I'll get to watch the car and any others like it that might come out to play. And I'd still like to know what the true blown alcohol folks think. Good for the class? Bad for the class?

LOL I had the same happen, stopped at Lines pit and asked a question about FI and told me to go away

Briefly, but the committee decided against it. Most of the racers didn’t want to do it, and they also didn’t want to cannibalize the Heritage Series.

What don’t you understand? They do run the same blower, but turn it really slow compared to a big show car. They still run the big pump but bypass (return) a ton of fuel back to the tank. They can only burn so much fuel.

I know. Your entire operation is nothing less than first rate, Tony. This happened to me right after the move to eliminate hood scoops and I simply asked a crew member who was standing right there how the team was adapting to the change. "We don't answer technical questions; you need to leave." OK, fine, here's wishing you a red light in Round 1. LOL

Allen Johnson was the best. He invited us in his trailer and gave us a couple of t shirts since he could not sell the per NHRA rules. So we gave him a donation for Racers for Christ. Still have the signed t shirt in a frame.
