Sounds like the difference revolves around weight and gearing and not necessarily available power. In my mind I'm thinking"would 350 extra pounds and taller overall gearing really make that much difference? With 5000 (or whatever) horsepower?" Obviously it does; you're the expert on why and I'm not. I appreciate the lesson, Josh.:)

I'll be in Ennis in 6 weeks so hopefully I'll get to watch the car and any others like it that might come out to play. And I'd still like to know what the true blown alcohol folks think. Good for the class? Bad for the class?

Walk around the pits and ask them, they will let you know

Well, who ever treated you liked that is an a$$hole. You'll never get that treatment at our pit area.
I know. Your entire operation is nothing less than first rate, Tony. 👍 This happened to me right after the move to eliminate hood scoops and I simply asked a crew member who was standing right there how the team was adapting to the change. "We don't answer technical questions; you need to leave." OK, fine, here's wishing you a red light in Round 1. LOL

I'm aware that 'spies' exist; they're rampant in that class so I kinda-sorta understood despite my question being totally non-invasive. Walked down and visited with Allen Johnson for a minute or two and he was more than pleasant.

Allen Johnson was the best. He invited us in his trailer and gave us a couple of t shirts since he could not sell the per NHRA rules. So we gave him a donation for Racers for Christ. Still have the signed t shirt in a frame.
