Heck, how about that Pre-Show?!?! Now THAT'S the way to do a 50th Anniversary Celebration!!

I was heartbroken to see Smoke lose it in the last 1/2 lap. I knew Tony was in trouble when I saw 5 Dodges in the top lane nose to tail. It was a good race to watch. How about Nardelli offering $1m to any Dodge team that won today, that was quite an incentive. It was good to see Ryan finally break his winless drought.

Yup'....them thar Blue Dodges did turn left 800 times.....yup....them sur deeeiiid!

I'm a mopar guy too John...but even I wouldn't DARE bring up That other racing series in an NHRA Folder...;)

go denny hamlin and the fed ex #11:eek:]]

Gotta go..Force is on WIND TUNNEL!!!:D (for 4 minutes)!

I was surprised that this was Penskes first Daytona win. I`m just happy the Busch boys didn`t take the checkered!

I know they both get alot of flack but I hung out with both of them a few years ago and they were great. Not to mention they can flat out drive the wheels off a racecar.

Anyone know what happened to Gordon?? It appeared that he had shock issues. He was in the garage 3 times. Something about brackets??

More of us NHRA fans pay attention to NASCAR than we'd like to admit.

It was cool seeing all the old champs as well as several of King Richards cars.

Tim, it's good to know you're one of us! ;)

race was great. no large accidents, no flipping cars.
IMO the COT's brought excitement and a seemingly noticeable
level of safety? back to super speedway racing.

Personally, I didn't pay much attention to NASCAR at all until the Dodges came back into the fray. Since then, I've always rooted for the Mopars and Ryan Newman specifically, so it was nice to see him get the win - I was hootin' and hollerin' like an idiot at my local V.F.W.!!

I wasn't at the V.F.W., but I certainly was hootin' and hollerin'. It was especially pleasing to watch those two Dodges pulling away from the highly touted Toyotas! :D

My guess is there weren't many at your V.F.W. rooting for ANY Toyota...

No, there certainly weren't. Quite a few Hendrick fans though.

On another, but entirely unrelated note: Not too many Jane Fonda fans at the V.F.W. either...:D
