Courtney Force

Hagan didn't repeatedly talk about not being "that guy". A year from now we'll all be trying to remember who Courtney beat for her first win, but everyone will know who Erica beat for hers.

Oh, trust me, JFR doesn't forget. Neither will Hagan and DSR.

But hey, Courtney won hers about 6 years and 70 races earlier than Enderes did, so that counts for something. Right?

I actually wish she would have run over to DSR and taken pictures. She is much more photogenic than Erica ever thought of being.

Courtney Force has too much class for that sort of move, and will have way more wins the EE does when career wins are counted.

not saying a dive took place but, u consider a 4.23 to a losing 10.54 a straight up run !!....... just asking
John is not in a position to throw a race away. He needs a win worse then she does. He is just barely in the 9th spot. She is in the 6th spot.

NOTICE: We actually have a hater on Nitromater.

She earned the win, congrats! The diving will start happening if John needs a round win to stay in the top 10 at Indy.

Why single out JFR?

Results for Elimination Round 2

(W) Matt Hagan (Mopar/Aaron's Charger) 0.081 4.268 280.08
(L) Johnny Gray (Big O Tires/SpeeDee Lube Charg 0.081 5.865 125.47
Gray is 3 - 0 against Hagan in prior events. This is a rematch from last week's final round. Hagan needs as many round wins as he can get to try to fight his way into the Countdown for the Championship. Gray strikes the tires before 100ft and Hagan makes a nice run to move into the the semi-finals and adds some more points to his total.

Results for Elimination Round 3

(W) Matt Hagan (Mopar/Aaron's Charger) 0.076 4.410 231.28
(L) Ron Capps (NAPA Auto Parts Charger) 0.090 5.328 159.61
Capps is 8 - 2 against Hagan in prior events. Capps goes up in smoke. Hagan goes about 500ft, the tires start to spin, he pedals the car but it didn't matter he was already so far out in front. Hagan is going back to back finals.

Here is a Courtney quote from the NHRA post-race story:

“We had tough competition today. Taking out a Schumacher car in the process was a huge accomplishment for us.”

Absolutely correct, Ma'am!

Why single out JFR?

Well, because they openly dive. In those stats you quoted I don't see a .200 reaction time and I don't see a car driving directly to the wall and out of the groove. (Indy 2009) I am just happy Courtney earned her first win and didn't get it because someone went into the tank for her (like Atlanta 2008).

Congrats to Courtney, it was only a matter of time. And as far as the dive question goes, I don't think anyone can say definitively. If John had been in the other lane and had the same thing happen, it would be a different story.

could have cared less who won that race, nevertheless congrats to courtney
on her first victory.
the funniest deal was john who of course was mic'd for espn; he first tried
to talk to neff who eventually took a few steps away from him, then john
had to walk to prock who was not exactly standing close; then poor laurie
had to be the sidekick....now that was good tv

I'm just waiting for the dive comments lol you know they are comin'

I knew the minute they announced John was racing Courtney, there was NO WAY in Hell he was gonna win that Race! I was lookin for someone to bet me $100! Having said that, I think Courtney is better her first year than Ashley was.

Cant leave out Dad's Freebie Paul, same with Ashley!

I just want to say congrats to her!

As far as the four daughters, I would say, with such limited exposure to the family dynamic, that Courtney gives me the feel of having the most passion for racing....not saying it's true, but it's my impression.

Well if you think about it, Ashley's first year at Seattle she put it in the wall.. Courtney's first year she got the Wally.

I get the same feeling Kevin, she's all about the racing!

Great win Team Traxxas!

Gee, and I thought you were gonna talk about Capps and Gray getting out the scuba gear for Hagen to aid in his quest for the countdown. Ten out of 11 good runs until Hagen is in the other lane. Straight up racing??

I liked the little tire-changing girls segment they put together. If they woulda did that in bikinis, ESPN's viewership woulda tripled......just sayin!
Great win for Court.....the future of NHRA
