I bet it was a scramble to get the track dry long enough to get the runs in. Sunday was the 1st time I've ever seen or heard of a helicopter being used to help dry the track....

They did that Sunday in Baytown 2007. We had a 3 hour rain delay. That was such a tough race....since it was the first since Eric's death.

I spoke to Cory Friday morning, telling him that the last national event I attended before this weekend's Arizona Nats was Brainerd in 1997, which he won. I said maybe I'll be your good luck charm this weekend. Looks like it worked!
