Well I know that somebody else can have my front row Indy tickets cause I'm not going back ( had my seats for years ). I can only hope that someone buys the NHRA and turns it back into the greatest motor sport that it once was ! 1000ft. and The Countdown.....whatever !

And on the positive side. With 8 car fields you get out early and with the stands half full there is no wait at the rest room or long lines leaving at conclusion of exciting 1000ft racing. And lots of new faces now that NHRA has chased away sponsors, and cornered the nitro market, which has caused
many of the old troops to fold or cut back.

I've gone to the Gateway race the last few years with about a dozen cohorts from work. We all pay one guy and he orders the tickets so we're together in one row, or at least near each other. They have a special 3 day deal for 99 bucks, and they throw in a hat, hatpin & a program to boot. This year they contacted him before the renewal deadline in November and stated we only had to pay 25% down on the tickets till spring to hold them. I guess they had a bunch of people not renew their seats with money tight, etc. Gotta give kudos to the track for not raising ticket prices & trying to keep fans in the seats.
