this DVD/movie played the other night on Palladia channel. as first time RUSH fan back in around '76 or '77,
IMO Geddy's voice has become a detriment to the band, he rolls up to notes constantly where back in the day
he just hit the note. Musically they are still unreal but IMO the geddy's vocals are presently the ONLY facet of
their music that is lacking.
If you even pretend to like RUSH this dvd/movie is worth watching; preferably in front of a widescreen with
5 or 7 channel surround sound and an amp & loudspeakers with enough muscle to move a lot of air

he sounds great on the new stuff, but that is geared to how his voice is now. That said, I cringe when they play their old stuff as you are right, he can't hit the notes anymore. Oh well, I am a die hard Rush fan, so I roll with it.

well said.....me too :)....that movie that outlines their past ('beyond the lighted stage' i believe is the title) is
incredible....bet i've watched it 10x in the last 2-3 years. palladia channel has about a dozen classic rock movies they
play periodically and that movie is their rotation, absolutely love it.
