I first met Paul in 2004 when Marc White and I lost a nail-biter in the semi finals to him in Chicago when he was in Frank Parker's car. Paul is a talented and intellegent indiviual who will do a good job for Canidae and the Dunn's.

Best of luck to them in 2010.

Congratulations to Paul Lee, great to see him back out there. Actually, in 2004 he drove for Jeff and Bonnie McGaffic. That was the year that they won their first 3 national events they entered with their new ProStart car.

Right you are. I stand corrected!

I feel bad for JT, but this is pretty cool for Paul Lee.

That said.... (ducks behind table as this may not be a very popular opinion)

I think what Jim Dunn should really be doing is hiring a CREW CHIEF or a least a co-crew chief. Now don't get me wrong, I like Big Jim as much as the next fan but too many of his runs end up too weak or in tire smoke.

I spoke with Jim today at the Mooneyes carshow, He and the crew are really looking forward to Paul stepping in to drive the car next year.
As far as how the car runs or doesn't is solely based on the all mighty dollar from sponsors, always has been and always will be.
Some sponsors want to spend whatever it takes to win races and championships, while others just like the visibility of their products in front of an audience.
Giving Jim some serious money to go through could be dangerous to alot of other funny car camps.

Why even go there, Sam. With your logic..anyone that isn't winning should hire a different crew chief, right?

Your table isn't big enough for that kind of statement (shooting ducks behind the table).

When he comes to Florida..just stop by the ropes and mention he needs to hire someone that knows what's going on, eh?

Look at the races from 1 to 24 this year. I'm not saying he can't tune a car but he might need a some help.... or as someone else said, more $$$$$$.

....Then by all means. Head to G-ville and offer your services to Big Jim....or at least tell the man yourself. I'm sure he'd be open to your suggestion. Big Jim is just a teddy bear who is very open to others perspectives on things.

...The problem with Ducks is they crap all over the place.
