I saw that too, Alan. He was one of my favorites on that show. Tough to stay healthy on a diet of coffee, cigarettes and Red Bull, that`s for sure. My condolences go out to the Harris family.

If I understand it correctly, the crab fleet is in the middle of their Opilio Crab season and the Cornelia Marie just happened to be in port unloading crab when Phil had a stroke on January 29th.

RIP, Phil.

I too, love this show. It's about the only "reality show" I do watch. The way those captains and crew work, it's a wonder they stay healthy at all. Seems like they are all sleep deprived and running on cigarettes and coffee.

RIP Capt. Phil, he was definitely a character.
