Broadcast tonight

I thought the coverage was great overall tonight. Mike Dunn is a hoot! Very self-effacing, but smart and generous to his colleagues. Very comfortable in his own skin and seems to really enjoy his work. Woulda been nice if the partiers Mike hooked up with were not so mute.

Three hours of teevee is a lot of boob tube time in one chunk, so I have to confess I FF through both the Pro Stock's. Even though I enjoy both classes, I like fuel cars best.

Did Del or Larry get any face time? I don't recall seeing them interviewed much?

Chris Karamesines had a decent light and a decent run. Way to go, Greek!

Clay Millican is very good on camera. Tony Shortall has an appearance from another era. Fine with me, makes it interesting. The Pedregon drama was interesting, and nice they at least tried to get a hold of Dickie for his side! Gonna be fun when some journo finally tracks him down! TP winning was like it was a scripted story line. Excellent nitro drama there!

JFR - nice that he makes big team decisions democratically. A credit to the team that they opted for shared sacrifice instead of dumping a car. Kinda like what all of America is doing these days. John is talking to corporate managers to solve his team's problems? John - maybe use them to fish for ideas, but don't ever, ever, ever copy their corporate playbooks!

The JF and Robert driver swap is pretty novel. Do you think ESPN is gonna beat on that incessantly maybe a little bit?

Too bad Jack Wyatt didn't make it to round two. Cute he apologized for beating Ashley!

Capps beat Force in a pedalfest! Mike counted Force pedaling SEVEN TIMES! I may not have the count right, but that's still pretty cool.

-90% Jimmy,
with the morning coffee hitting the lockup

left the track @ 7:30 - walked in house @ 9:30, was elated to see
the race hadn't started yet - whole program didn't start till 2pm yesterday.

We use my brother's track radios (he goes to several NASCAR races a year). You can listen to the track feed as well as the ESPN feed, I usually switch so I can hear the interviews on both.
