One has to wonder why this continually happens at tracks that are historically difficult. Pomona come to mind. Why aren't all the crew chiefs putting in their "match race on a dirt road" tune ups just to put up a number they can build from?

Because nobody racing today was match racing in 1971.
Maybe Jimmy Prock should call his dad Tom to ask how to get down a cow path. Lol

Q2 was worth the wait. Left lane a little suspect for FC's but TF was great in both lanes. Billy Billy beat Kalitta and Leah's win over Langdon was great to watch. 3.79 only et in the 3.70's all day.

That's a good question. I'd forgotten about that. It looks like they did, as advertised, in the last pair of TF and FC in Q2. DragRaceCentral did not mention this (that it was the Epping Finals) at all in their Bristol Q2 coverage. Leah won in TF, and Beckman won in FC. DRC also shows the results in their Epping coverage, but they do not mention that the Finals were run in Bristol, not Epping.

DRC in my opinion has gone down hill in the last couple years. IDK why but it's not the same as it used to be, hardly mention of rain or crash is delayed action and the description of the runs aren't as good.
Anyone know if it's changed hands?

I'm a big fan of the single car fuel teams. Doing it the hard way. Any time one wins it's extra good for me. Jim Head, Wilkerson, Alexander, Pedregon, Lee, and Green are some favorites. Like the good ol'days.
