GILBERTSON AND TEAM TRICK TANK READY FOR THE ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK U.S. OPEN OF SUPERCROSS
Six riders, two dozen bikes heading to Las Vegas for the biggest Amateur Supercross ever
Charlotte, N.C. -- While his dad Bob Gilbertson has been all over the country racing his Autolite XP Spark Plugs nitro Funny Car the past 12 weekends, Jake Gilbertson and the rest of the Trick Tank Motocross team are spending every available minute at the team's test facility in Blacksburg, S.C. practicing and preparing the over two dozen bikes that the team will bring to the ROCKSTAR Energy Drink U.S. Open of Supercross at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas October 13-15.
The U.S. Open is the biggest and most prestigious event of it's kind in the country and riders have to qualify in their local regions to get invited to participate.
Team Trick Tank has six riders who have qualified for this years event and all are looking forward to riding in front of the biggest crowd they've ever raced for.
* Jake Gilbertson will compete in two different classes, 65cc 10-11 and 85cc 7-11.
* Justin Hopson, who won the 125cc class last year, will ride in both the 125cc Intermediate and 250cc Intermediate classes.
* Lucas Helms will ride in three different events, 85cc Super Mini, 85cc 12-15 and 125cc Schoolboy.
* Josh Harris win ride in both the 125cc Novice and 125cc Schoolboy classes
* Matt Duncan will race in the 250cc Novice class.
* Noah Lindsay will compete in the 50cc 7-8 class.
And "Hitchhiker" Don White, the oldest member of the team, will ride in the Over 40 class.
The entire Trick Tank MX team's bikes will be transported from Blacksburg to Las Vegas in the team's new Concept Hauler Truckcoach with a stacker trailer that will hold the two dozen bikes and the support tools and equipment the team will need to compete. It's equipped with a custom sound system that will rock the pits at the MGM Grand.
