RIP Bob. Met Bob years ago while crewing on a TAFC. Got to know him from Div. 3 and national events . Always enjoyed our conversations, while he was racing and after he retired . Another great one gone on to Heaven.

Many years ago @ a D3 event , I asked Bob about the forest fire, he was very nice and we had a great chat. He always remembered me and I would always make sure to say hi @ the events. The last time I saw him (maybe 10 yrs + ago @ the US Nationals, he was with an assistant and did not look well at all, yet he noticed me in the stands and made sure he said hello.

Raced him in the early 70s in Ron Pellegrini's international funny car association. A couple dozen injected funny cars back then. Fun times
