This is Tom Malloy, his RV, the strap retainer from our restraint system, and the gash it made upon contact. I autographed his motor home, he kept the buckle, and we parted as friends!#NewEnglandNats

jack's explosion made many news reels over the weekend. this am it showed on HLN express with robin meade. robin has teaser before commercial and she says 'this was at a drag race over the weekend'. later in sports segment the sports guy coy did a quick story on it again saying again 'this was at a drag race in new hampshire over the weekend'. neither anchor mentions NHRA once.
as coy was finishing robin asked 'what about nascar' (robin is a country western singin' redneck kinda' of girl and loves nascar). coy then mentions that the nascar race was rained out yesterday and will be run today, of course again with no mention of NHRA, or the fact that their race was rained out too and will be run today. so typical.

The cam broke. Does anyone have a theory on why it broke? Traditionally the valvetrain on a nitro motor is easier on parts than a pro stock motor or even a comp motor. Keepers break the occasional valve spring breaks drive gears wear out and break but a cam breaking?John Kernan showed the cam and it looked like it twisted like an input shaft or a drive shaft. Just curious if anyone has heard what happened. Fuel cams do not usually break.

The have a lot of the chassis parts (like a front half) already made, or partially made. Put the back half on the chassis jig, slip the front half in-place, bolt it all to the chassis jig, and weld the two half's together. They make the basic chassis all the same to save time.
