BARKLAGE RACING KEEPING THE WINNING MOMENTUM ALIVE
Zach Barklage Pulls Off Another Hometown Race Win

MADISON, IL – After a disappointing rain-out weekend in Richmond, VA for the AMS Pro Modified Challenge, Barklage Racing didn’t waste any time getting back in racing action. Although the team was sitting out one weekend due to rainy weather, the team had a race to make-up from a rained out race earlier in the season.

Gateway International Raceway played home to the United Black Drag Racers Association, UBDRA, Black Sunday race. With the event highlighting an 1/8 mile Pro Mod drag race, Zach Barklage was anxious to get another event win under his belt.

Despite struggling with the car all day, Barklage was able to race an impressive race in the final round. Racing his best of the day, Barklage was able to grasp the event win in the nail biting final again Bill Hill. Barklage won with a quick 4.02 to Hill’s 4.05.

“We made some adjustments during the day and it paid off in the final round,” said Barklage. “We went out there and stepped up the car and it did well. I’m excited we were able to bring home another win before the end of the season.”

With the momentum gaining for Barklage Racing, the team is anxious to finish the 2006 season on a high note.

Zach and Cody Barklage’s next race is the NHRA AMS Pro Mod Challenge at The Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 27 – 29.

Barklage Racing would like to thank Chili’s, Goodyear Tires, Lucas Oil, Goodson Tools, Taylor Cable, Torco Race Fuel, Master Formula, Pit Mat USA, Moreland Well Drilling, Weld Wheels and NGK Sparkplugs for their continued support.
