BARKLAGE RACING KEEPING MOMENTUM ALIVE

August 30, 2006 ( Indianapolis , IN ) - Barklage Racing and the AMS / RPM Depot Pro Mod challenge is heading into the biggest race of the year. The Mac Tools US Nationals at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis , is the granddaddy of all drag races, and Barklage Racing hopes to make a statement on the historic 1320.

With pressures high and coveted points to be had, Barklage has two races to run. Due to bad weather during the O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals in Memphis , Tennessee , Cody Barklage will have to not only qualify in Indianapolis , but run the remainder of the race from Memphis . 19 year old Cody Barklage will resume round two of eliminations during the Friday qualifying session.

"I'm excited to be here and hopefully we can finish a great race from Memphis," said Barklage. "The weather is going to pay a huge factor and should make the cars much faster. As long as it doesn't rain, the Pro Mod show should be very exciting. Hopefully we can go some rounds and advance in the tight points race."

The team has enjoyed great success in July and August and hope to keep the winning momentum going. The Mac Tools US Nationals is the 7th of 10 stops for the AMS / RPM Depot Challenge. Barklage Racing would like to thank Boulder Creek Dining, Goodyear Tires, Lucas Oil, Goodson Tools, Taylor Cable, Torco Race Fuel, Master Formula, Pit Mat USA, Moreland Well Drilling, Weld Wheels and NGK Sparkplugs for their continued support.
