The article says it was at a Myrtle Beach drag strip. Unclear if "car event" is bad reporting for drag race, drifting, car show, or what.

I live in the general area. This is an 1/8 mile, what I would call a "community" drag strip. It is actually in Longs SC. I had to search it myself as I didn't even know it existed. Very small-time with sporadic test n tune weekend events. It looks like the shooting happened after midnight, so not sure how sketchy the crowd is around those parts.
