Any Optics Experts?

I'm looking for a killer set of binoculars. Something that will give me a good view of the sand trap from the tower. I don't want to spend a zillion bucks, but not looking for the Wal-Mart stuff either.

Anybody here know anything about this?

I just used B&H Photo from NYC for mail order for some camera gear. They do sell binoculars, and have a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. And the best prices for what I was looking for.

I've had a pair of Leica Trinovid since 1986 that work great. They have been used and abused in a military and law enforcement setting with no issues. They are light weight and won't give you neck strain when you hang them on your collar.

Swarovski binos are nice but a bit spendy, a good compromise would be a pair from Vortex.
