i haven't heard anything else since the week he left herbert. they had the phone interview on nhra during the seatle coverage. he said he had talked with some other teams but stopped there... just curious.

That speaking with other team part gets me. You need a leave of absence, but then you are already talking about other potential offers. If he needs time to get himself back to 100%, then he needs to take 6 months off, or whatever he needs. Not worry about going back to the track right off the bat.

Maybe the "other teams" were calling him, and he was just taking their phone calls.
If Wayne wanted another job, he would have one by now.
