Amalie Oil GatorNationals

It seems like Tire Kingdom really wanted out of drag racing totally. :(

Still, as long as there is a sponsor for the event it's fine.

TBC Inc, the parent company for all of the brands, is going through a major restructuring and is minimizing its exposure for at least this year.
They do hope to be back when everything is complete.

My source should be credible enough...he's the company's CFO/COO

That's good intel Pete. Too many people take it personally when a company ends a sponsorship. Companies are constantly shifting, strategizing, reorganizing, trying new outlets, etc. How many companies have been involved in drag racing, left, and come back? I think many. The Army comes to mind. Now, could there be much more done to attract new companies to the sport? Well, that's a different thread altogether...:D

I really miss going to Gainesville, one of my favorite races! But what used to be a $300-350 Airfare is nearly double that now....

I hope that's true! (not your source, but that they actually do come back)
