Alexis Officially Joins JFR

So everyone can boo hoo me again but I compare this to Lance Stroll in F1 Daddy owns the team and pays all the bills, Lance gets to drive. Lance is good but the reason he is there is Dad pays the bills. IMO the same for Alexis, Dad brings the money and pays the bills she gets to drive and does OK. She is chill because there is zero funding issues, no chance of being replaced or team shut down until she decides to stop driving.
Just the way life works, accept it and move on.

Whos not accepting it? If more billionaires loved drag racing we'd all benefit. Instead the m'fers have $500mil. yachts with a $85mil. support ship. That part I'm not accepting.

P.S.,,,, with a 25mil a year operating cost! (Half a mil to fuel it up)

what does any of this mean. As racers we all spend what we have (or what it takes if you are FU rich) to race. Don't begrudge anyone with money who can buy what they need to race first class. Wouldn't you do it if you had the money? Don't fault them (or be jealous). It's not pretty.
exactly. . as soon as people read Alexis is going to JFR the gotta throw out the "daddy's money" BS! do you all know if Alexis goes in to offices and works when she's not racing? If she's contributing at the businesses the FAMILY owns then the money she spends is hers to spend.

To me it says we are getting those who can afford too, not the best of the best. Think of how many drivers have been mentioned to join the Force team who are really good. The reason they are not driving ? money, the ones with the money are driving even if just oK.
I have always said nitro is those who can afford to spend money not the best drivers in the world. There are many great drivers that are sitting on the sideline.

Please point to something that even remotely says that. Anything I can find says she is the richest female drag racer who built a 100 million dollar net worth drag racing. You all know that aint true.
Hey it is the way the world works, family money buys what ever you want. I am not begrudging anyone just stating what I see. There are far better drivers out there with no ride because they have no backing.

I'm not gonna point to anything because I could care less how and where the funding comes from because to me , it's another team out there mixing it up instead of losing more and more teams . you and so many other keyboard warriors come on here apparently to just be negative. Why? If I was rich I'd be all about a nitro car! So I guess you'd talk crap about me then. Are there better drivers out there? maybe, but as you said, Nitro racing is about money. of coarse because reputations don't fund anything. It's how ALL motorsports works. Why can't people just look forward to the 2026 season without criticizing everything from team shake ups, to sponsors , to new venues or everything else so many come on here and put down.

So everyone wants to fix the problem but no one wants to admit what the problem is, cost to race. Until it is admitted it can not be fixed. We will all sit back and watch the fields, sponsors, participants dwindle away and then say gee I wonder what happened. How many teams, drivers, cars did we lose for next year already.
What is going to be the result of 2 mega teams and the rest small teams, how long are they going to continue to show up, spend crazy money and have zero chance of winning. If it wasn't for the big teams passing down used parts they would probably already been done.
Wife and I go to many events a year and love the sport but also have watched it slowly "die". Remember when someone actually got bumped ? Remember the sponsor, manufacturers wars, now what is left ? a WWE style call out trying to create drama. I will watch till I die but something needs to change to make the sport survive.
Look at the teams money, owners are getting older, diehard racers, who is going fill the shoes down the road. Walk around the pits not many racers under 50.
I am not negative just honest.

Disagree. Look at Pro Mod and the Winter Series. 80+ teams, most with close to a million dollars just in their haulers (Rig and trailer). 500k for the car and another 500k in spare engines, trans, etc. 180+ Pro Mods across the country. 2 to 3 million just to get started. MANY younger and new entries in the class.
What form of pro or semi pro racing is cheap?
Just the way of the world.
Racing is doing just fine. If NHRA can't keep it together than IHRA, PDRA and others will pick up the slack.

Really a different discussion, I agree with you completely, there is a lot of very good racing out there. Some of the biggest events at National Trail have nothing to do with NHRA or nitro.

People have been buying rides since the beginning, at varying levels. In the 60's nitro racing wasn't cheap, that's why many teams were made up of 3 owners. It's a different era now, for everything in life. Drag racing is far from dying, but there is change happening. We're seeing weakness in TF right now, it happened in the 80s, and guess what? Drag racing didn't die. It will never be cheap, and I'll never say a bad thing about someone who comes from money choosing to spend it on drag racing. Quite the opposite. Using Alexis as an example, look at the opportunities that exist because she chooses to field a fuel car. EVERYBODY who races has money, just different amounts, which is why drag racing is cool, there's a class for just about every budget. Right now Pro Mods are very popular, and for good reason, they're badass. As Randy posted above, over 80 of them in Florida right now representing huge investments for all of them. Finally, with the new IHRA "short track series" :p
offering a viable place to race for many teams, I believe it will push NHRA to think outside the box a bit and improve on their deal. I'm with Bruce, let's look forward to 2026!

I for one am very grateful that she loves drag racing and doing it at its highest level, not driving around in circles next to Bubba Wallase. I'm a big fan of hers.

sure would be nice if in their (dejoria) sphere of influence, another non-automotive brand might take a look at nhra.
another booze company. another personal care company (think brut, english leather)

Maybe Lynsi Snyder could be the third Force FC....

As far as Alexis' reaction times.... These are the year end stats from the NHRA.
The first chart is average reaction time for the year
