I was thinking the rear end could have broke locking up the rear tires.

Has was going less than 160 mph at the finish line. He could have coasted around the corner. However, it looks like the back tires may have locked up and stayed that way through to the hit and after. Can't tell for sure on my tiny laptop screen.

I have to give props to my friends son Cody Krohn and Samsel's Racing on a great weekend. Qualified #1 and made it to the the finals.
