If anyone has been watching the Mecum Auctions on NBCSN, you may have heard about the vintage drag racing machines that will be coming to Kissimmee, FL in January. Don Fezell, a very accomplished collector and drag racer (he made the first 8-second pass in Stock Eliminator history in May, 2012) is bringing over 40 of his most valuable cars from his collection.to sell at Mecum. I personally traveled to his shop in Dubois, PA last month to see them and I was blown away.

He's bringing four documented 1963 Impala Z11's including the Jenkins/Strickler "Old Reliable IV" Lightweight that won roughly 90% of its races in '63 including Little Eliminator at the US Nationals. Phil "Daddy Warbucks" Bonner's 1968 Mustang Cobra Jet Lightweight, Bud Faubel's "Hemi Honker" Hemi Dodge, a documented 1962 Pontiac Catalina Lightweight, a genuine 1964 Ford Thunderbolt, and many very rare and desirable Muscle Cars.

If you can be there in January, just to be able to see over 40 of Don's cars parked in a special display area will make the trip more than worthwhile. If you can't we'll be televising the auction on NBCSN. There's a list of Don's cars on the Mecum website and it's phenomenal.
