What is the difference between the Alan Johnson and the TFX engines. I was under the impression that Alan had bought TFX and makes them. I have also seen on the T/F entry list that AJ's engine sometimes shows a AJ and other times shows TFX.
Arn't they identical and both made by Alan?

Hey Terry,

Alan did indeed purchase TFX.

It's just a matter of who fills out the tech card or entry form when the team enters the event.

Interesting that some blocks still have TFX machined into them, but the newer blocks have AJPE machined into them. I am hoping that the alcohol engine program they have takes off, it would be good to have back and forth between BAE and AJPE, good for competition.

Doug Gordon has already been in the .40's and won a National Event in TAFC with the AJPE setup ... So I would say the program is on good footing!
