Here's a thought – lane swaps!
So . . . Q1's crew chief decides he wants Q8's lane (1,8,9 & 16 run first round)
Does Q8 now have the choice of forcing Q9 or Q16 to change lanes ?
Possible Chinese Fire Drill ! -
I know, too much time on my hands -![]()
is anybody actually going or are we bad mouthing this from the comfort of our own couches again?

Thank you for saying that Mike. What a bunch of complaining bed wetting a$$holes.
I'd be going if we weren't getting ready to go to Baytown.
I see drag racing as Big Daddy vs. Connie Kalitta. One against the other with one winner and one loser.
Not Big Daddy vs. Tom, Dick and Harry.
Call it what you want, but once you start to change what is the unquestionable foundation this sport was built on, then it isn't hard to see that this sport has very serious problems staying relavent in the racing world.
It's like the NHRA is saying that our sport has hit a wall, and that we need a twist to keep fans interested. We need a freak show to make people notice.
Sad....
Even with this crap, not only will people not notice, but it scrambles the product that represents what this sport is all about. It also takes away the attention of the individual drivers and sponsors recieve because there isn't enough time, and twice as many to mention.
It's like Nascar going to a figure 8 with a stop light, or like playing baseball with six bases.
Stupid.
since when did nitromater gain Kleenex as a sponsor?
I look forward to watching it in action. And, anything that will bring positive PR to our sport, all the better. They will be running clips of 4-wide racing on ESPN/ESPN2, and maybe even mainstream TV news, all weekend![]()

I quit watching the circus when I was about 12. Didn't go again until I was forced to take my kids for a few years. Don't ever plan on watching the elephant c#ap again. This is just another circus so I won't watch. Cancelled my reservations for Las Vegas when I heard they were building two more lanes.
George, I'm sceptical about this as well, but for reasons other than yours! There simply isn't enough Fuel cars to justify this! If there were 30-35 in Each class I'd say lets go! 16-18 cars is what 4 laps??? And that's factoring no major Oildowns, how will that play out if 2 of the 4 **** on the track?
