I think it is such a neat deal that I am working hard so that we can be a part of it. Just a little more backing (money) and we will be there to be part of history.

NHRA has a hard time getting 2 lanes "even" lately....Just sayin'

That is great news! All the best, who will be driving? Rhonda or John?
John will be driving his dad's funny car, and we hope to have Rhonda in a TF car.
Is this for qualifying and elims or just qualifying? Also if it is in eliminations is there two winners or just one per round? If there is only one winner per round you only run two rounds to win it which saves money. Personally I doubt I will like it either way but will keep an open mind.
Virgil good luck putting something together.
You're looking at that all wrong though. Already, half of the cars advance to the next round with a slower time than someone that just won in the pair before them. They still get to advance and get round points. It's still 2 pair of cars out there, only now the 2 fastest will advance...............So it's possible to loose twice and win the event and take the most points home........

Here is an example of the one thing that does change though. Tim Wilkerson lost in the first round of Phoenix with a 4.11 to Hight's 4.08. That 4.11 was fast enough to win just about any other matchup in the first round. With that said, the faster cars should advance.
Best of luck Virgil, we'll be chearing for you guys, would love to see Rhonda back out there again!
if you take only the quickest times, you eliminate the need for a reaction time... just sayin...![]()
I don't like it.
Nitro passes are kind of the main event of a Raceday.
doesent this mean there will be half as many runs?
I go to National Events at Englishtown and Maple Grove, If ZMax was my only track I would not be too thrilled about it.
Basically, I would always rather see 4 cars make 2 seperate passes, than one circus pass.
If 16,000 horsepower is not enough for ya, go watch the shuttle take off.
The thing that I think can not be good is if you have 2 cars in a peddle fest (Ashley & Melanie) which you want to watch and 2 cars running low et. You can't watch everything and your going to miss something exciting.
Qualifying Field
• Since each team will make only one qualifying run in each lane, the standard qualifying procedure of transferring only the quickest 12 times from Friday to Saturday will not be in effect at this event. All elapsed times from all qualifying sessions, from both days will be used to establish the 16-car field for eliminations in each category.
