2021 Isky Party (1 Viewer)

Thanks Roger. I'll forgo the chairs then.

Cliff, Saturday will be Ed's 100th birthday. I'll have my camera with me and will take plenty of photos.
Yes - The only reason we had it on July 10 is Ed was born on July 10 1921. We always had it later when it was a little cooler before.

A great turnout for Ed's birthday party despite the 100+ temps.

Yes it was a hot one. Great visiting some great folks. Special thanks to LTR Racing Engines for hosting this event.

I don't know but asking folks at the table who were there think it was nitro. I'll see if the hero card I picked up says what it is when I get back to the room.

According to this it's nitro and replica

They say despite the heat, it was the biggest turn out they've ever had for Ed's birthday party. there was plenty of shade, coolers and fans everywhere. It really wasn't that bad until (in my mind) 2:30 and the wind shifted, then it got hot.

Waiting my turn to take a photo of Ed sitting with my dad, a cool looking flat bottom race boat on-hand and the backdrop for this event.

There is a yellow JR/D in some of the photos. Looking at it reminded me of El Lenarth's sidewinder dragster (T/F) that he ran a couple of times then crashed. Thanks to everyone for the photos. Really cool to see people there. Was kinda surprised to see Big there. He is my all time hero. Glad Jack was there too. BTW, that photo of the mountain looks a lot like Flagstaff (except Flag mountain is way taller).

I have another photo of Garlits, but I took it right before the one I posted. Seems there were a lot of other people there that I didn't catch. Reckon everyone was spread out in little groups staying in the shade. Here's a video of Ed cackling a car with Jack by his side. That's Ronnie Hampshire who starts the engine.

Well I won't say for certain whether it is or isn't him, but based upon a recent video I saw with him in it at his museum I'm pretty certain it was him. If I'm wrong, I apologize and will make a correction.
