Yep. Going to Lions was like going to a national event. Drag News Nationals really was like a national. T/F, F/C, AA/FA, etc. All on a Sat night. I'd get there when the gates opened and they threw me out at night. Heh I never did get sick from eating a "drag dog". I even saw Prudhomme in the pits buying one. Hey if he can eat it and survive.....

A lot of the Top Dragsters today run quicker than T/F did at Lions. The track record at Lions ended up at 6.02 ET (maybe 236 MPH), by Don Moody. I have seen T/D go 5.90's, 2 speed Glide & blown alky. Wow....
