WWE wrestler...Chris Benoit dead

Hey all
Dont know how many wrestling fans out there but read earlier that Benoit was found dead with his family aerlier today. Dont want to get into the details of it all but damn this is a huge loss to wrestling.
May he rest in peace with his latino buddy Eddie Guerreo.

I was shocked as I flipped through the tv channels yesterday and came across raw talking baout it.
Today they're saying murder/suicide but now saying who. He was called home from the ppv for a family emergency over the weekend.

Very sad. The last images they showed on raw with him and Eddy was very touching

I also must say good job to Vince, since the news broke that day he cancelled that nights big show, costing him tons of money. it was great to see a business man think with his heart and not his wallet

Really is a tragedy, not just because such a great performer is now gone, but because a man who, from all reports, was the nicest guy you could ever meet has apparently done such horrific things.

He was called home from the ppv for a family emergency over the weekend.

WWE lost contact with him sometime around Friday and used the "family emergency" line to cover his missing from the PPV, obviously assuming he'd be back sooner or later.

The latest "news" I've heard is WWE have called off the Vince's death storyline and since this murder-suicide news has arisen they're not doing anymore tribute shows. Can't say I blame them really. They'd cop a heap of flack for glorifying a man after he's done such terrible things.

Tragic stuff.

What I found weird about the whole thing was I had just cut open a watermelon and was sitting down at the table and my wife was flipping thru the channels and she asked me, "Do you know the wrestler Chris Benoit?" b/c she knows I used to watch it all the time but stopped several years ago.

I said, "Yeah, why?" and she said "Him and his family died." So I go get on the computer and NOTHING on cnn, yahoo, atlanta paper, nothing no where except for wwe.com. I was hoping surely it wasnt a wwe plot or something and then I finally found it on one of the Atlanta papers websites.

Truly sad deal. Apparently from the news this morning they said he killed them over the weekend and then killed himself yesterday. All they are saying is that they werent shot.

Sad, sad deal. I just dont understand this kinda things.

yeah your're right, they're now saying he sent odd text messages to some wrestlers, kinda like sorry and goodbye type of deals which led wwe to contact to police to go check on them.

So sad and shocking.

Here's the little bizarre part according to my cousin who heard this on the radio earlier today in South Carolina but I havent seen it printed anywhere so I dont know:

Just heard on the radio that his wife suffocated the kid with a garbage bag, then she called Chris to rush home, thats why he wasnt at the pay per view. He went home and found out what happened and strangled her with the alarm clock cord. Then he wrote an apology letter stating thats what happened and then hung himself.

I think part of it was that he died Monday, the day of Raw. If I remember correctly Eddie died a day or two before a telecast

Kelly, what I found interesting is that at 4:00 they found them and yet at 8:00 the WWE already had a 3 hour tribute ready to air. Maybe I underestimate the production crew or whatever but to get that ready in only 4 hours or so is amazing. I think they knew something serious was up way before they called the police to go check on him and his family.

To be honest, most of what they did was canned from Benoits dvd that they sell. There wasn't a whole lotta production effort needed. The personal moments with the wrestlers as well as the announce team still went on. Not to take anything away, that still is alot to do in a short time but not as dauntinga s it may first seem

Benoit was a piece os S*&T coward . Im glad he is burning in hell right now . This guy killed his wife ,then smothered his mentally challenged child and then sat in the same house for a day before he hung his own sorry a$$. I feel for is other kids and family and friend but he can rot in hell .
