It would be a real bargain if the Espn2 shows could pull even decent ratings. I gotta believe it needs to be over 1mil per show.

The important part of this proposal is what NASCAR is asking the title rights sponsor to do. The contract forces the series sponsor to spend an equal amount on sponsorship activation (print, radio, TV commercials, web promotions, social media, etc) as they give NASCAR. So while this proposal is for $1 Billion, "only" $500 million of it goes directly to NASCAR while the other $500 Million goes for the title rights sponsor promotion of the series. I doubt they will get that much money, but they will still get a big chunk of change and they will have someone else footing the bill for almost all of their marketing. Pretty clever.
