This is a new search engine that was launched a few weeks back. It is not a search engine to search for normal things like pizza, movie time and such. It is a computational knowledge engine. With this search engine you can enter things like your first name and it will tell statistics on the history of births in the US. Another thing you can enter is to compare two companies by enter both names or stock symbols. Or you can enter a web page and it will give you the web page statistics.
On the Wolfram Alpha home page it give plenty of other examples. Also there is a overview video about other way to use the site. I thought it was cool to play around with and is a great site if you are doing research.
