I'm not a WJ fan, But I am sure glad he speaks his mind, whether I agree with his opinions or not.

Johnny said Pro Stockers are hardest to drive, second would be alky funny cars...fuel funny cars are the most fun...

He has driven them all so his input is very credible. I guess I didn't hear him right because I thought he said the alky funny was the hardest to drive, anyway, whatever he says I would believe.

WJ admittedly was at least "overzealous" in his comments. How was insulting fuel car drivers talents relevant to track prep? He was so angry that some of those comments didn't do anybody any good, including himself. I don't have a problem with him speaking his mind, but dont sound like a jackass when your doing it. Insulting the NHRA isn't really a good way to attract people and sponsors to the sport either.

But after this weekend, I'm not so down on WJ. When he's calm theres a certain amount of underlying intellegence in his interviews that makes you have to respect him.

What I find interesting is that by making this a WJ vs Nitro Drivers issue NHRA is able to deflect interest from the real story ( Pro Stock cars skating the last 320 feet) and make it seem like a sour grapes story. Notice how much they were trying to hype it on the telecast. I like how John Force blew them off when they tried to get him to "react" to the as they put it WJ slam on nitro drivers and said we have bigger problems to fix. Graeat PR move on ther part. Nobody is talking about the issue just about what WJ said. Yes he put his foot in his mouth, but nothing was done after Phoenix so he had every right to be mad.
