Their politics turned lots of people off but regardless, this rendition of the Anthem by the Dixie Chicks at SuperBowl 37 was right up there. Just click on "watch on youtube".

Just like the crappy Super Bowl half time shows where all you do is put 30 dancers on stage, grab your crotch several times and the football crowd isn’t into it. My kid said ‘bring back the marching bands’. You don’t need someone like Whitney to perform at a race, but I guarantee there are lots of locals who would do a fine job. I guarantee the local high schools have talented performers.

These girls are all grown now but they sound fantastic.

Since the U.S.A.F. is present at the races they could provide a singer for the National Anthem. They will sing it straight up with no B.S. or improvisation and they will have a good singer.
