TULSA, OK (October 12, 2007) – Just coming off a big event win last week in San Antonio , Texas , Bottom Dollar Racing and driver Willie Brainerd is looking for a strong showing at their hometown track, Tulsa Raceway Park . The local team has improved this season tremendously, to include their first ever Super Chevy Show, Aeromotive Fuel Systems Nitro Coupe win.
“Last weekend was great,” said Brainerd. “We have worked very hard this year to improve our race program and our efforts are paying off now. We were able to get faster almost every round last weekend. We are running a very unique combination, that is different then most of the cars out there. We run the Lenco drive, and with help from great companies like Coan Converters, and our new blower from Jan-Cen and Mike Janis, we are getting the car lined out.”
Although the team took home the win last weekend, they still have a big job ahead. The team is taking the final few races of 2007 in preparation for the 2008 IHRA National Event tour.
“We are still working for next season,” Brainerd went on to say. “We intend on running several IHRA National Events in 2008. Although we are looking to the future, we also must concentrate on going rounds this weekend. There is always some good competition at Super Chevy. We always go out to win and do well for our fans and our sponsors. This weekend we are racing at home again. We love being at Tulsa Raceway Park , and feel it’s an excellent track. We know we can do well here, we just have to run our race and our game. We will all have our families, friends and of course our local fans at the track all weekend cheering us on.”
Willie Brainerd and Bottom Dollar Racing would like to thank Bottom Dollar Trucking, Aries Pistons, Legends Auto Collision, ATC Freightliners, Mileage Masters, Coan Racing Torque Converters, and O’Reilly Auto Parts.
