Would like to hear from the FIGs on their experience in the TSA line during their travel this past week.
Flying out of San Jose last Friday was almost normal. Leaving Phoenix tonight so we'll see. Update: did touchless precheck at Phoenix tonight. No one in line!

question about firebird: it seems like they park two rows of the pros where one row is up against the lake?
seems like there is plenty of room for pros right behind bleachers? why don't they park them there, closer to staging
and closer to fans?

Had no problems with TSA lines more issues with tools I had in my backpack flying to Sky Harbor and again flying out with same tools and 3 bottles of water I forgot to remove.

The “lower class” cars are in the lower pit area, which is pretty close to the stands. I kind of see what you’re saying, but, the pits are still overall not that far from the stands. Richard freeman got them to let Tony Stewart racing and his new top fuel car pit in the lower section with the pro stock cars this year, so maybe Firebird is open to changes, but I think it honestly works out well the way they do it.

they wanted all their hospitality to be at one location
that makes sense. i could see more teams going together on hosp. and sharing costs.
noticed at gators that rwr had a series of easy up tents inside their U-shaped pit. there were less in AZ.

Phoenix TSA is "that station" to many other security departments. I was going through transfer screening in Heathrow London and was chatting with the agent about the things they find. He told me that morning he was doing a bag scan of someone who originated in Phoenix and in his carry-on was a loaded .44 handgun (uhhh...pretty freakin' hard to miss that one!). Trans-Atlantic with a pistol 🤯
