What's happening with Clay? (21 Viewers)

I think Clay needs a new open cockpit PBRC car and cut Tony Shoemachet loose. And get the Aussie back over here.
I don't think Schumacher is going anywhere, LOL. I would think that he is providing more sponsor dollars and financial stability to RWR with the long-term deal he brought. It does seem like Clay's side of the team has sadly played second fiddle. Going to the enclosed canopy to match Schumacher's preference and having his established CC/crew move over to Schumacher's side, for eg.

The whole situation at RWR isn’t passing the smell test.
I can def see a change coming in the cc dept at rwr. Only way clay can go rounds is pretty much by luck, who would work well on that team??? Bring kloeber back

he never made a clean pass all weekend. 5 runs. last year he was dominant and lost final at BIR to DK.
i wonder if they will stay and test today?

I can't see the open or closed cockpit having anything to do with a car's performance. There are so many other variables.....
FRom what ive heard cc say the tunimg window is more open and of course its 25lbs lighter, clay said in his vehicle he likes open better

Rick Ware is the king of sponsorships. He grew up in S. Cal. and loves drag racing and just look at how many different kinds of race teams he owns. If the two Nhra teams are not losing money he maybe happy? What puzzles me is Jim and Jon O plus Nickey should equal more success then they are having and they seem to have the financial resources too.

they spend a ton on rear ends this years and seem to be shutting the cars off pretty quick when they see any little problem. I have to wonder how they would be doing if Flynn had stayed. He seems to be doing pretty good with his canopy car

what a humbling sport. i'm not convinced at all they are racing with a big budget. IMO the 2nd team doesn't seem to be helping.
earnhardt now has the arbys money. angry hornet has not posted for 2 months. guess we'll see how they do at indy.
the brainerd race alone is proof that in one year you can go from reaching the final running .69's, to not even making a full pass
one year later. something is different .... and they had a strange rear end in it at BIR
