I had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Parks on numerous occasions over the years. As NHRA closes in on celebrating 75 years of organized drag racing I wonder what he would think about what the people in the ivory tower have done to his beloved organization

I would think that overall, he would be “ok” with it, not thrilled, but that there were some missed opportunities around the turn of the century that NHRA failed to capitalize on.
